Burberry's Sales Fall 12% Amid Luxury Slowdown in Fiscal Q4

Burberry released its fiscal fourth-quarter financial report, showing a 12% decline in sales for the three months ending March 31.

Despite flat revenue and a 25% decrease in operating profit adjusted for currency, CEO Jonathan Akeroyd expressed confidence in the company's strategy. Burberry aims to increase annual revenue to £4 billion EUR from the current £2.97 billion EUR. Akeroyd acknowledged underperformance in FY24 but highlighted progress in brand image, product evolution, and distribution.

Moving forward, Burberry plans to focus on refining brand expression, enhancing product storytelling, expanding its product range, and improving the retail store experience.
