'Go outside and protect what already exists': Ginsberg`s first solo show in the US
Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio is currently hosting "Machine Auguries: Toledo", Ginsberg's first solo exhibition in the US, which was organized in collaboration with the art and technology firm, Superblue. This immersive exhibition focuses on the diminishing population of songbirds and utilizes an installation that incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) to manipulate the dawn chorus of songbirds. The exhibition lasts for 12 minutes and begins with a serene atmosphere illuminated by silvery blue light and the faint chirping of crickets. As the installation progresses, the machine-generated discord disrupts the chorus of various songbirds, leading to a discomforting finale that both celebrates and laments the songbirds in peril. Ginsberg's work questions society's obsession with advanced technologies while nature continues to suffer. She encourages visitors to step outside and take action to protect the environment.
