Yifan Renxu Studio

Yifan Renxu Studio was established in 2018. The founder of the studio, Ren Xu Yifan, graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in the United States in 2017. After returning to China, he settled in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, and continued his creative work. He integrated elements from his early sculptures into home furnishings and created the "Pillow Vase" series.

 

The "Pillow Vase" series is inspired by the contrasting textures of soft and hard materials, allowing contradictory materials to coexist and be decorated with plush fabric, metal, and other textured glazes. This artistic vase can blend well with various personal styles in home furnishings, and its unique texture and strong material contrast make it stand out in the space.

 

Yifan's works explore the expressive methods of ceramics, combining tradition and contemporary elements, and shaping vessels that resonate with home furnishings using a skillful modeling language. The hard texture of ceramics is used to express the soft surface mechanism, and with techniques such as electroplating and matte glazing, the works have a surface texture similar to leather and plush fabric.
